Multimedia Designer (m/w/d)

Berlin-based (partly remote possible), full-time

The beVisoneers program

The project you would be working on at The DO School Fellowships is beVisioneers a global environmental Fellowship which starts with a 12-month hybrid-learning program that equips innovators aged 16 to 28 with the training, expert support and resources to bring their planet-positive projects to life. 

Upon completing the intensive 12-month program, Fellows continue to receive support to scale their projects and develop their leadership skills.

About the role

As a multimedia designer you will be responsible for bringing the beVisioneers brand to life by developing multimedia content for a variety of channels including social media, ads, presentations, websites and more.

Your responsibilities will include  … 

  • Graphic design: create graphics, illustrations, icons, and images

  • Video production: Edit, and produce videos that may include animations, motion graphics, and special effects

  • Animation: design and create animations, both 2D and 3D, for use in videos, presentations, websites, and other multimedia projects

  • Audio production: record and edit audio elements, including voiceovers, sound effects, and background music, to enhance multimedia content

  • Interactive design: develop interactive elements such as buttons, menus, and navigation systems for websites and e-learning modules

  • Storyboarding: plan and create storyboards and visual outlines to guide the development of multimedia projects and maintain consistency in storytelling

  • Brand ownership: oversee and implement beVisioneers brand and CI on internal and external channels

As a Multimedia Designer, you report to the Director of Communications and closely collaborate with the Communications Storyteller.

About you

To thrive and grow in this role, you will likely be: 

  • Social media savvy: You have a strong interest in social media and have at least 5 years experience in adapting media formats for social platforms

  • A Creative Cloud expert (or equivalent): you have at least five years experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including After Effects, Animate, Audition, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premier Pro (or equivalent).

  • A youth advocate: You know how to develop media that caters to a young and vibrant audience aged 16-28

  • Collaborative: You work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and agencies including videographers and writers

  • Curious: You have a genuine interest in staying up to date with the latest design software and tools 

  • Interpersonal: You are great at making people feel comfortable in storytelling scenarios such as 1:1 interviews

  • Eco-conscious: You are a passionate about our planet and its people

  • An english speaker: Native or fluent

 

Ideally, you might also have…

  • Experience in shooting videos and handling video equipment is a big bonus

This is what you can expect…

In the first month, you will complete your onboarding, learn the nuts & bolts of the beVisioneers Fellowship program. 

After three months, you will have began visual storyboarding and implementation.

After six months, you will have developed a vibrant collection of assets and stories that significantly contributes to the brand recognition of beVisioneers.

After one year, you will fully lead the beVisioneers brand and CI.

Katherin Kirschenmann is founder and Chief Program Officer of The DO. In the past years she has built and worked in partnership with major institutions and corporations, including IKEA, H&M, the Deutsche Bahn, Unilever, the Hong Kong Jockey Club and various UN organizations.

Katherin is an international speaker, executive facilitator, and TV host with Deutsche Welle. She draws on her wide international experience across sectors to develop new ways to co-create innovation, develop Purposeful DOers, and impact entrepreneurs. Engagements under her leadership have empowered thousands of individuals and businesses to create meaningful innovation and lasting social change.

Before founding The DO, Katherin gained 10 years of experience in consulting as well as the inter-governmental and non-profit sector
