Today we sat with one of Germany’s leading experts on marketing and sales, Martin Koch. He is the head of the national sales department for Spotcom. It was incredible to see where the marketing field is headed and try to incorporate it into our greater question: What is the future of audio and radio in Germany? After that we broke into four groups and discussed new technologies, new devices, new content, and new types of ads in audio and radio. Each group imagined solutions for said categories in the context of audio entertainment.

In the afternoon session, we discussed the importance of lean start-ups, and we began breaking down how we were going to approach our market research for the future of audio challenge. It was both thrilling and terrifying to see the significance of what we’re taking on. By the end, all the fellows were feeling the gravity of the mission we’ve taken on and deeply thankful to be making the journey with so many experienced facilitators and experts.
