Rakesh uses his wide expertise in innovation consulting, strategy, and marketing to ensure that radical new ideas address real needs and make a successful journey out into the market.
Rakesh launched his career as a technical consultant in the German automobile industry, developing design and engineering ecosystems that help OEMs like BMW, Audi, Ford and Volkswagen reduce development costs and optimize their vehicles by using virtual engineering methods. In 2011, he moved on to found Fliptree Consulting, an innovation consultancy for new ideas. He then embarked on his social innovation in 2012 as a Pepal Fellow – as part of which he discovered the long-term impact of inclusive economics and the inherent social nature of business.
Rakesh is an engineer by training with a Masters degree in Computational Science & Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and an MBA in International Management from the University of Applied Sciences Nürtingen-Geislingen.
He enjoys swimming, musing on the mysteries of the universe and participating in urban adventures. We’re told that he cooks a mean Biryani, although we’ve yet to verify this ourselves!
